Back on December 31, I made seven New Year’s resolutions. One of them was to play the guitar again. Well, I’m on my way to doing just that. I ordered a Carlo Robelli acoustic/electric guitar from Sam Ash back on January 7th. It just now arrived! It wasn’t their fault though. Most of their inventory was backlogged because of the union strike on the west coast last month. Thanks a lot, stupid unions.
Anyway, it was a cheapy, but I didn’t want to pay top dollar for a guitar I was going to learn on. Once I get as good as Phil Keaggy, then I will buy an expensive guitar.
The guitar has a cutaway, a pickup and is a shallow body design. It’s not a deep a sound as your typical dreadnought, but it’s perfect for in-home playing and learning. The finish on the guitar is perfect! I didn’t find one thing wrong with it. I was a little worried since I paid so little for it that it would be a piece of crap, but it’s actually nicer than the Fender acoustic I used to have! If you’re an expert guitar player whose looking for a top-notch guitar, then you wouldn’t be looking at this. For everyone else, this is a great little guitar. I’m very happy with my purchase.
