A little animal with a lot of power

I just had to go shoo away a skunk who was terrorizing our cats.  He was provoking them by jumping at them and then turning his butt towards them.  They knew to back away and give him a safe distance.  The skunk was so aggressive that it kept my mother outside.  She couldn’t get in the door because he was blocking it and wasn’t afraid of her yelling at him.  I am next to our central air, which is as loud as a jet engine so I didn’t hear her yelling at the skunk.  My mother finally made it inside and asked me to scare it away.

When I went outside, sure enough, there he was… just a little guy, but scaring away 3 tough cats and a woman.  I had our 2 million candle power flashlight with me and shown it in his face.  He didn’t like that, so he started wandering off towards our garden.  Right before my eyes, he somehow managed to squeeze himself through a 2"x3.5" hole in our fence and wandered out into our field.  I had no idea skunks were that flexible!
