A New Look

I recently went back to css Zen Garden, and saw a bunch of new examples of great design using CSS.  It inspired me to redesign my personal site.  I’ve already got the new design up and running on a test page, and it looks pretty cool.  I’ll start switching things over slowly sometime soon.  First I need to make sure it looks decent in the major browsers on Windows, Mac and Linux.  So far it looks awesome in IE and Safari on the Mac.

Added 7/24 - I’ve checked the new design in a few major browsers, but only on the Mac.  So far, it looks perfect in Safari, IE for Mac and all Gecko-based browsers (Netscape, Mozilla, Camino, Phoenix, etc.).  I need some volunteers to check it out with other browsers on other platforms.  I would specifically like to know how it looks on IE for Windows.  If you’re interested in helping, send me an email so I can let you know where to see the new design.

Looks good in Opera 7.01, except that the comments forms gets pushed over to the right.

When did you check that? Because I also saw that and fixed it several minutes ago. Does it still do it?

It’s in the middle now. Top four text boxes bleed into the third column, but that’s it.

I like it.

OK, I think I fixed the four text boxes as well. I still can’t figure out a way to put bottoms on short left columns. This post is a good example of that. Oh well. There are some things you have to live with. Although I’d be really happy if someone came up with a solution.
