I got the results back from my blood work. I am NOT diabetic! Woohoo!!! But I DO have a hyper-active thyroid, which means my adrenaline levels are too high all the time until early evening when I crash from lack of energy. There are times when I would get so excited about something, I’d shake. It’s crazy. The doc said I needed to take something to level off my adrenaline levels throughout the day. So I’ve been taking these little pills for a couple days now. We’ll see how things pan out.
He also told me I’ve been eating WAY too much carbs and starches. He listed off a bunch of food that I shouldn’t eat, and mentioned almost everything I eat a lot of. He even mentioned oatmeal and brown sugar as a bad combo, which was ironic since that’s what I had eaten for breakfast that morning! He said I needed to eat about 4 oz. of meat or equivalent in protein per meal. So between the pills I’m taking and the extra protein, I might actually start gaining weight. Maybe someday kids will tease me and call me Fatty Fatty 2x4. It won’t matter, because I could just sit on them.
