Another Poem

Here’s another poem from Daniel on love…

I’m drowning in your love and only you can see joy has left me breathless with nobody to rescue me the safe waters are out of reach my whole body feels like lead my heart, it has already given in the only thing left resisting is the head you rocked my boat a little too strong that day you took me out to sea and I’m sinking like a stone falling slow and endlessly the world is not the same now that I have drowned brilliant colours and soft light and all without a sound love’s ocean is fresh and clean with currents wild and new your mighty waves, they lift me up out of all those shades of blue life after death is so very sweet I should have done this before I’d like to do this every day but am unable to find the shore if, then, we must die only once drown from our heads to our shoes it will be your seas that I sail, you and your love that I choose
