Arab Human Development Report 2002

The Arab Human Development Report 2002 was commissioned by the UN and put together by Arab intellectuals.  In it, the Arab countries are criticized for oppression of women, per-capita income is down to new lows, low productivity and very little research and development.  It’s great to see that there are some Arabs who see this.  Now the really amazing thing will be if anything is done about it.
