Are we going to war with Iraq?

The Guerrilla News Network has an interesting article about the possible war with Iraq. Scott Ritter, a former UN weapons inspector in Iraq, says that there is no way Iraq has weapons of mass destruction. They haven’t had enough time to rebuild the infrastructure needed to make them, he claims. He also claims that he and his team successfully dismantled 90-95% of all of their weapons of mass desctruction. He claims the rest were lost in the chaos of the Gulf War. He says that if the US really had proof of these weapons, then they wouldn’t be waiting until October to launch an attack. He says the real reason we’re heading to a possible war with Iraq is politics and that Bush is lying about all of this.
If the US has definite proof that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, then I am supportive of going in there to remove Saddam. He has shown in the past that he is not afraid of using them. If they don’t, then I really don’t think we’re going to war. I DO think that most of this talk has been to give the Iraqis pause. They saw what we did to the Taliban, and remember what we did to them in the Gulf War. This may just be posturing, and if so, I don’t think it’s a bad thing.

What do you mean WAR?
is it a fight against terrorism, well get bin laden, why come after saddam. What did he actaully do to the Americans?

America wants oil? I guess no other country in the world needs oil? If it’s a secret, then how do you know it? In 100 years time there will be an oil shortage for the entire world, not just the US.
I can’t tell you how many times I hear the same barking from moonbats all over the place. Spout crap, insult the person you disagree with and try to get an angry response out of them. That somehow equals a well-thought out, persuasive “debate” to moonbats.
The Iraqi leadership (unless they are totally in denial) has to realize that the power that was unleashed on them in 1991, is primative when compared to today’s technology and firepower.
Our capability to surgically remove Saddam and avoid repeating the senseless slaughter of thousands of civialians this time is MUCH greater.
So, if posturing doesn’t work, they (the Iraqi leadership) better start packing and updating their resumes.
