Belief-O-Matic
I took the Belief-O-Matic test at BeliefNet, and here’s how closely my beliefs match with other religions:
- Orthodox Quaker (100%)
- Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (96%)
- Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (88%)
- Seventh Day Adventist (87%)
- Eastern Orthodox (83%)
- Roman Catholic (83%)
- Islam (65%)
- Orthodox Judaism (65%)
- Liberal Quakers (64%)
- Reform Judaism (56%)
- Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (55%)
- Unitarian Universalism (55%)
- Sikhism (52%)
- Bahá’í Faith (51%)
- Hinduism (48%)
- Jehovah’s Witness (38%)
- Theravada Buddhism (38%)
- Jainism (34%)
- Nontheist (34%)
- Mahayana Buddhism (33%)
- Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (32%)
- Secular Humanism (31%)
- New Age (28%)
- Neo-Pagan (27%)
- Scientology (27%)
- New Thought (27%)
- Taoism (25%)
The questions were rather simplistic, so I just answered as close to my beliefs as possible. On some of the questions, I didn’t agree with any of the options.
I found the results a bit surprising, especially that Orthodox Quaker was 100%. When I read the description of their beliefs, it was close to what I believe, but didn’t fully reflect everything, of course. How could it? I particularly disagree with the “Undeserved Suffering” section.
I took that test too.. mine came up correct the 2nd time I took it. The first time it said I was Buddist. I think that was completely off. So.. maybe take the test again and see if it is any better..
