BIG lil Apps 2

OpenUpMany, many people have heard of Stuffit Expander.  It’s the default file decompressor for the Mac.  My biggest complaint with it is it’s slow.  OpenUp is a freeware file decompressor that handles every single file Stuffit Expander can, plus some!  It’s quick and does a good job.  It’s made by Scott Anguish, a programming guru in the Mac OS X Cocoa realm.

XOptimizeYou know that system optimization process you have to go through after installing any package?  What that’s doing is moving around system files to make sure your computer runs at its best.  Have you ever noticed your system running a bit slower than normal and wanted to speed things up?  Well, XOptimize is a simple utility that makes your system run through the optimization process without using a package.  Very handy.  And it’s free!

Tune in tomorrow for two more great apps.
