Buymusic.com Blocks Macs

Apparently, BuyMusic.com is now blocking Macs from using it’s service.  When you try to access the site, you get the following message:

In order to take full advantage of BuyMusic.com’s offerings you must be on a Windows Operating System using Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher.

What kind of crap is that?

Not that it’s a major loss or anything, but if you’re dying to access the site, MacMerc has figured out a way around it with Safari.

You know, the way BuyMusic.com is going about all this is wrong.  It will fail because of the way it’s approaching the situation.  Why limit your customer base?  It’s stupid marketing and bad business.

Consider yourself lucky! I foolishly purchased some music from them. I detailed the (bad) experience here: http://www.scriptygoddess.com/archives/004057.php

Yep, you should’ve waited until iTunes came out for Windoze. Then you’d have a much better experience.

I give BuyMusic.com a year at most before it crashes and burns.
