Can It Get Any Hotter?

The weather has been amazingly hot the last several days. When we had those previous weeks of no rain, it was hot, but it never broke into the 100s. Now, only a few days after we finally got some rain, we’ve had several days of at or above 100° heat.
I know in the Arizona region, they’re also having a major heatwave that’s killed close to 20 people. I don’t know if anyone’s died out here, but it wouldn’t surprise me if someone did. I feel sorry for the horses, cattle, goats and whatever else has to stay outside in this heat. Just go outside for five minutes and you’ll be drained of energy and dripping with sweat. It’s not fun.
Luckily, it looks like the weather will dip just a little bit this coming week. No sign of rain though.
