Can Smarty Jones Do It?

Here’s hoping that Smarty Jones will be the first horse in 26 years to win the Triple Crown. I’ve watched the last few contender horses fall short, but I hope Smarty pulls it off.
Apparently Smarty Jones couldn’t pull it off. It seemed to me that he jumped to the lead way too early. He had the lead at the halfway point, and tried winning it all before they even rounded the final turn. I don’t race horses, but I know you shouldn’t do that. It seemed to me that Funny Cide did the same thing last year. Oh well. Maybe next year another horse will come along and win it all.
