I’ve seen this new Hummer H2 TV ad a few times the last few days, and it has this song on there that’s VERY catchy. I really wanted to find out who did the song. Luckily, the Hummer Web site tells you what song it is.
The one I really like is a song called “It’s Very Sunny” by Casino Versus Japan (a.k.a. Erik Kowalski). It’s out on Wobblyhead Records. I’m not into the whole alternative music scene, but this music is very, very catchy. Nothing awe inspiring, just nice music to work to and makes great mood music.
Supposedly, when his first record (Go Hawaii) came out, it was a huge underground hit. He just released a new album called “Whole Numbers Play the Basics”. I’ve heard one song from it, and it’s also very catchy, although darker in sound. I’m going to be looking for more of his music and possibly buying his CDs.
I found a site that sold the new Casino Versus Japan album for $3 less than anywhere else. It’s called CD Quest. The only place I can find the “Go Hawaii” album is at Groove Distribution. The only way you can order something from them online is to call them and set up an account first. They say it’s so you don’t have to give your credit card info over the Internet. I’ll call on Monday and see what I find.
