I’ve been hearing a lot about the up-and-coming Web browser for OS X called Chimera. I finally downloaded it today to check it out and all I have to say is, “Holy crap!”. This browser’s fast! It uses the same rendering engine as Mozilla/Netscape, called Gecko, but for some reason is MUCH faster. So I get the same, great looking Web pages but in half the time.
I also downloaded and ran a shell script called ChimeraBooster. This enables HTTP pipelining in Chimera, which is supposed to make your page-loading much faster. I don’t know if it works for dial-up connections or only high-speed connections, but it seemed to work well with me.
