After seeing the latest edition of Rides, I thought I’d go check out the site of my favorite hot rod designer, Chip Foose. The last time I checked in on the site, it was still under construction. Well, it’s now up and running and looks pretty good.
Chip makes some of the sweetest hot rods I’ve ever seen. And he’s won numerous awards for those hot rods too. The car above is called the Grandmaster, and it’s considered by many to be the perfect hot rod. It’s won many awards including the big one, the Ridler.
I would LOVE for him to work on my car, but know that won’t happen. He’s probably got at least 5 cars he’s working hard on all the time.

you guys and gals should read the blog on rickART it makes me mad. boyd said the businnes of building hot rods is a cut throat way of life. i do not feel sad for boyd because he made charle work all those long hours painting car with a crazy dead line. and he said he wanted to come back and work there and just paint one of chips cars. but i think charle did it because of this family you can not put that kind of stress on a person. and what that lever of quality to stay that way.

Great Site! Thought i’d add my 2 cents worth. There is no denying the artistry of Chip Foose a true master and a pleasure to watch. However, to me his peaces are like fine polished diamonds…perfection from the inside out… what a pleasure, but there truly is nothing like a rare peace of amber that captures the soul that diamonds don’t have. I’ll take a rat rod any day… i need soul. I need a rat. I need 2 cents more.

No those are his renderings. And yes he looks a lot younger. I’m not sure if this Overhaulin’ thing is a good thing for him. He needs to sleep more…

Chip foose is great. Its amazing what he does. I just bought chartpax markers i think they are the ones he uses. i used to use prismacolor. i am 15 years old and live in Melbourne Fl. I go to all the local car shows and i do drawings of peoples cars for them and sell them. I do my own designs also. I met him at barrett jackson in west palm beach this past year. I just wish i knew a little more about what art supplies he uses or tips he may have.

hey dude!! i think that chip foose is the best ever!!! who can draw like that?!!?!?!?!? i think it would be sweet if you could overhaul my bros jetta he wants to supe it up sooo badly but i dont think he has enough mulah or money for the job but i think that it would be sweet if you could do that
