First up, Mozilla has just released Firefox 1.0. It’s taken them a while to get it finished, but it’s turned into an excellent browser which I use all the time. It’s been interesting to watch Firefox mature over that time.
My iTrip arrived today, and my first impressions are excellent. It was pretty easy to set up and get going. The range is about two feet before you start hearing static, so it’s perfect for car stereos. I’ve already tried it out in my car, and it works perfectly. I’m very happy with it.
This Thursday I will be heading back down to Austin for Dave’s wedding. I’m one of the groomsmen. It’s only taken them 10 years of dating before they decided to tie the knot. I’m looking forward to it, and know it will be a great wedding. I will be getting back on Sunday evening sometime. I’m not looking forward to the drive, but being there for the wedding will make up for it.
Installed Firefox 1.0 yesterday. Nice. I like the way they have combined Google with the Firefox homepage. Still hate the way some webpages will not function unless you open them with IE. Very shortsighted of them.
I guess your Mom is not coming on this trip to Austin. Too bad! Plan on chilly weather. The temp is supposed to drop by 20 degrees by the weekend.
By the way, install an instant messenger on your Mom’s computer so that I can keep in touch with her easier!
