It seems like custom choppers are all the rage now, especially with the popularity of shows like Orange County Choppers and West Coast Choppers. They crank out some very expensive, very custom choppers for all kinds of clients, including famous ones like Shaq, Goldberg and Kidd Rock.
I have to admit, there’s not too many choppers from those shops that I like. At least none that have been shown on their shows. That said, there are some amazingly beautiful choppers out there.
Below are a few pictures of some choppers I really like. The one on the bottom is my all-time favorite chopper. Every time I see it, it impresses me more. It’s just motorcycle perfection, in my opinion.
I’ve seen some of Indian Larry’s stuff. I liked a couple of them, but I guess I’m more into the new school look.
The image I’ll always associate with Indian Larry was that time he stood on the seat of his bike with his arms out while rolling down the highway. I think it was on a Discovery Channel program.
Actually, the link you gave takes you to a cheesemaker or something like that. The Martin Bros Web site is at http://www.martinbrosbikes.com/.
The last two bikes I have above are both Martin Bros creations. The bottom one is called Trendkill and the one above it is the Purple Gangsta.
What’s interesting is that after seeing all of Hot Match’s stuff, I think I like his bikes better than the Martin Bros’ stuff. I’m glad you told me about them.
I SEEN SOME OF YOUR WORK FOR THE FIRST TIME ON X MASS DAY. I THINK YOUR WORK IS 100% better then o.c.c. I CAME TO YOUR WEB SITE TO PERCHACE A SHIRT AND MAY BE A JACKET BUT I DONT SEE A SITE . DO YOU SELL THINGS LIKE HATS - SHIRTS – AND JACKETS ? PLEASE E-MAIL ME WITH WEB ADRRESS. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.
My assistant principal wants to know how you can stand to ride on those choppers. She wants to know how the back support is and how the suspension is. We have killer pot holes in Millwaukee.
Now a note from me i’m 13 and you have been my idol forever. I just love your bikes. My life long dream was to become a chopper builder. I really liked the blue bike you made that you won the biker-build off with. I really want you to mail me back. Hay by the way can you give me some tips for my future as a chopper builder.
I didn’t make those bikes, and I doubt the guys who did are reading this page. You should do a Google search for Matt Hotch, Arlen Ness or Billy Lane. They made some of the bikes in my post. When you find their sites, send them an email.
And good luck with chopper building. If you get good enough, you won’t be without people who’ll love and want to buy your bikes.
“Whose motorcycle is this?” – “It’s a chopper, baby!”
Nice-looking vehicles…
