At least that’s what the headlines could’ve read like back in the early 1900’s if Germany would’ve followed through on its plans to attack New York and Boston. This article says that the Kaiser was angry at the US getting in his way of world domination, and instead of blockading the US, he wanted to invade it.
Check it out. It’s an interesting read and makes you realize just how very different history could’ve been if they would’ve acted on this plan.
Very interesting read. It goes real well with a book I am currently reading… yes, I read books…. It is titled “What If?”, (edited by Robert Cowley) and it is a collection of essays by experts and historians with some interesting views on how the world would be different if some major world events had turned out differently.
History is a fascinating subject, and thinking about the “what if’s” and “what might have been’s” makes it more interesting yet.
