GoLive 6 vs. Dreamweaver MX

I was wondering what everyone thinks about the two?  I’m needing to buy one or the other, but I can’t make up my mind.  Studio MX is cheaper than an Adobe equivalent by about $200 and seems to have better suite integration.  But GoLive comes with the built-in wokgroup server that seems awesome as well.  And LiveMotion’s timeline is 10,000 times better than Flash’s.  Once you work with LiveMotion’s timeline, it’s very hard to work with Flash again.

Anyway, I was wanting to hear back from anyone about which one they prefer and why?  What made you choose it over the competition?

I have been using Go Live 6 for several weeks now because it wasn’t until very recently that Dreamweaver became available on OS X. Maybe it’s just that I was so used to Dreamweaver 4, that I found it difficult to get used to working with Go Live 6. In my opinion, I found GL 6 to be inferior to DW. Now that I have both GL 6 and DW MX, I am going to continue working with both and try to learn more about each one. I also recently started playing around with Flash MX. I have not yet tried LiveMotion, so at this point, I really couldn’t say how it compares to Flash.

I guess to sum up my 2 cents, I think you were heading in the right direction when you said that, once you have worked with one set of applications, it is very hard to work with another. I know it is not the answer you are looking for, but me the decision to keep using MX products was because that is what I am used to. I love Adobe for PS 7, but I am partial to Macromedia for it’s web applications.
