Is it just me, or does the Heliodisplay remind you immediately of Star Wars and Princess Leia’s hologram message for Obi Wan? It’s so stinking close to it, it’s almost like they based their product off of that sequence.
The company behind it, IO2 Technology, won’t say how it’s done. It looks like steam or vapor is coming out of the top and is having video projected onto it, but they say nothing is added to the air. Of course, if you cool down the air just above the product and then shoot warmer air in a thin line, you could achieve the same thing. Perhaps that’s how they do it?
