I’m Getting DSL!

I’m FINALLY going to get DSL! I just got off the phone with the provider, and I should have it up and running by the end of next week at the latest.
My dad’s business line was having problems, so a tech was sent out to fix it. When he was finished, he left a flyer on our front door that said DSL was available. I thought he made a mistake, but decided to check into it anyway. And it IS available! It’s a huge surprise because DSL was never advertised around here. The provider’s Web site still doesn’t show it as being in our area, but it apparently was just set up.
DSL only works 3 miles (about 15,500 feet) or closer to the router, but luckily we’re 13,400 feet from the nearest one. The provider will verify all the lines between the router and our house, and then send the modem on Thursday. By Friday next week, it should be up and running! I can’t wait! I’ll finally have good upload and download speeds to run my business without having to burn CDs or wait hours to download a site.
