I’m still alive and kicking. In case some of you were wondering where the heck I’ve been or why I haven’t been posting, I have absolutely no excuse! Hardly anything worth posting lately. I’m still learning Sindarin, and am getting much better at it now. Soon I will post my next Tengwar Challenge, and it will be in Sindarin, not English.
I still haven’t bought Mac OS X Panther. I was VERY tempted to the day it came out, but refrained. I’m glad I did from some of the reports I’m reading on big time bugs. When they post their next patch or two, then I’ll reconsider buying it.
I tried viewing the northern lights a couple times last week, but I’m not sure if I saw them or not. On Wednesday night last week, the northern sky was a lot brighter than normal. It looked like there was a giant stadium with it its lights on, but there are none that close to us. So I’m guessing that what I saw was the northern lights. It’s different than what I expected. No color really except an off-white hazy look. From some of the pictures I was looking at from down south, I thought it was going to be a reddish color. Then again, maybe what I saw wasn’t the northern lights at all?

Welcome back from the dead.
We get to see the northern lights quite often up here in Minnesota. What you described sounds like you did see the northern lights. I don’t recall ever seeing other colors besides white, and maybe almost a blue tint.
The best northern lights show I ever saw, was last January while driving east through central Wisconsin at 3 AM. The lights were a very bright white color and they filled the entire northern sky and were dancing much faster than I had ever seen them dance before.
Oh yeah.. one last thing. Get Panther now.
