Internet Resolve Problem?

Is it just me or are the DNS servers having problems lately? It seems like the resolving of hosts is taking an unusually long amount of time. Sometimes it takes upwards of 10+ seconds! It’s getting really old.
If no one else is having these problems, then I’m going to have to call Alltel and find out what the deal is.
It was Alltel that was having problems. My friend couldn’t connect either and he’s also on Alltel. When he called their support number, they already had a recorded message stating they were having hardware problems and that they were working on it.
