My camera arrived today and my first impressions are very good. The menu organization and navigation are very easy to learn. Everything is well layed out and clear. It’s got a nice weight to it, not too heavy or too light. It looks very well built. The only thing that looks a little flimsy is the battery cover. The zoom is impressive and the pictures are very nice straight out of the box without any tinkering with the settings (as you can see below).
This morning, before the UPS guy showed up, I was like a little kid on Christmas morning. Kinda sad, but what can I say? I really wanted a digital camera and am very glad I finally have one. I’ll be tinkering with the features and seeing what all this baby can do in a little bit.
On a side note, I have to say how much I like OS X. My camera works without me having to install any of the software that came with it. All I had to do was plug it in via USB, and iPhoto popped up and downloaded the images. Piece of cake!
