I’ve Been A Busy Little Bee

My grandparents will be moving onto my parents’ land in a couple weeks since they can no longer take care of themselves. This weekend I was supposed to help my parents go through my grandparents stuff to get rid of junk, find things to sell at a garage sale and move whatever else to their new home. It’s been sunny and beautiful all week long. Friday night, however, Mother Nature decided she was going to ruin everything and it started getting cold and rainy.
It’s been raining non-stop since then. It’s completely put a damper (no pun intended) on our plans. We’ve only been able to do a fraction of the work we had wanted. Plus, loading and unloading furniture and other crap in the cold rain I think has given me a mild cold. Joy!
When I wasn’t working at my grandparents’ place, I was fixing up this site a bit. I’ve cleaned up my code some more, reducing the number of spans and divs. I’ve also added access keys to the main navigation, as well as one to skip to the main content. I also added some to the entry navigation so it’s easier to go from one entry to another.
I’ve also greatly improved the appearance of comments. In doing so, I also took out an unnecessary HTML table that was uglifying my code. I was never happy with the way comments looked before, but I am now. The comments show a person’s Gravatar now, so if you don’t have one, get one! It’s free and can be used at any other site that uses the Gravatar service.
I’ve got a couple more things planned, but I’ll tackle those when I have the free time.
