Landseer Euthanized After Race

I always hate seeing a majestic animal like a horse being put down.  A horse called Landseer was coming around the final turn at the Breeders’ Cup Mile when he broke his cannon bone below his right knee.  It was a bad fracture.  Amazingly, the horse got up and tried to catch up with the other horses, but only managed to worsen the injury.  The on-call vet had him euthanized immediately because the injury was so bad.  A sad end to a beautiful animal.

Good thing I wasn’t a horse It definitly would have been a bummer to be euthanized after I broke my leg. I guess the rehab wouldn’t have been necessary. Breaking a leg sucks! I would advise against it!

That would have been really sucky, huh? Sorry, Mimi… it’s just too bad of a break. We’re gonna have to put you down. Nothing personal.

The only bone I’ve broken was my forearm when I was in seventh grade. It hurt like hell. I imagine a leg would be even worse.
