Looking For Oni Mac

A few years back, there was a game for the Mac called Oni.  I downloaded and played the demo back in early 2001.  The graphics weren’t amazing compared to today’s games, but the storyline and gameplay were excellent.  Lots of hand-to-hand combat, instead of wanton fragging.

I downloaded the OS X version of the game from Omni Group, but that’s just the application.  You still need the game files from the original game in order to play it.

If anyone knows where I can get a copy of this game for Mac, I’d love to hear about it.  Or if anyone is willing to give me a copy, that’d be even better!

I’ve got the PC version, but no Mac version I’m afraid. It certainly was a pretty cool game (though I’m not sure if I ever managed to finish it). What was great was the very fluid switching between gunplay and hand-to-hand fighting. Worked really well.

Yeah, the game was really good about switching between the two. I used to like seeing how far I could go without using any weapon at all.

Too bad you don’t have the Mac version. I guess I can keep hoping someone will come across this post who does.

It is a great game . . . I’m trying to post “wanted” lists for it on Amazon and eBay. I’ll let you know if it gives any results . . .

No need to let me know if you find something. I was lucky enough to find a boxed version of it at EB Games several weeks back. I only paid $6 for it! Needless to say, I was giddy like a little school girl when I saw that shiny box sitting on the shelf.
