Microsoft pulls ad

Micro$oft has to be the dumbest, least creative company on the face of the Earth!  Not only can they not come up with an original ad campaign, they can’t even come up with genuine content for an ad.

Microshaft (until several hours ago) had a Web page that copied almost to the letter the Apple “Switch” ads.  In it, a freelance writer had reportedly switched from the OS X to XP.  A few people over at Slashdot noticed that the picture of the switcher was actually a stock photograph.  After some more sleuthing, they found out that the “switcher” was actually hired by The Evil Empire.  Since then, Micro$oft has admitted the ad wasn’t real and has pulled it.

How sad is that?  Not only can you not come up with an original ad campaign, you can’t even find a real person for your own “switch” campaign.  Thank you, Micro$oft, for making my week.
