Fernanda Viégas at MIT has published the results of her blog survey. A few months back, she had almost 500 people from all over the world answer her survey questions, including myself.
She points out that many bloggers don’t consider issues such as privacy and liability when writing their posts. Some have lost jobs or friends or even been in legal trouble over posts, yet most bloggers don’t worry about it.
I did notice that I must’ve been the only person from Arkansas to respond to her survey. There was only one person from here who responded to her survey, which I find surprising. There are quite a few bloggers in the state, especially in the Little Rock area.
Actually, it’s not so surprising that there were few respondants from Arkansas. My suspicion is that the survey was announced on blogs that had disproportionate amount of readers on the coasts.
