Last night, around 2 am, I went outside to let the dogs relieve themselves. There was a full moon (or close to it) out, and fog had rolled in. The lighting and shadows were amazing. I ran inside to get my camera so I could take some pictures.
Some of them didn’t turn out so good, but there were a few that looked great. None of them really captured the scene though. I only have a digital point-and-shoot, so I guess they turned out as good as possible. I’d love to get a digital SLR, but they cost an arm and a leg.
It seems that alot of the pictures I see like that these days, are created to some degree in Photoshop. It’s a great feeling of satisfaction when a person is able to find the moment, and capture it just as it is.
The camera I bought is the Fuji FinePix S2 Pro. The great thing about it is, it is built around the Nikon N80 body, so I can continue to use Nikon lenses.
I think the picture is great. An opportunity to shoot a scene like that does not come around very often. I’m jealeous.
I just bought a digital SLR a month or so ago. It did cost an arm and a leg, but it was worth it.
