After more usage and reading up on how to do different things with my camera, I’ve only got one complaint. It eats the batteries. Well, it eats cheap alkaline batteries that is. It’ll eat a cheap pair in about 15 minutes. Is that normal for a digital camera? But I bought some Energizer E2 batteries for it, and they’ve gone for about 30 minutes without quitting. It came with some rechargeable NiMH batteries with the charger, but it’ll take 12 hours to charge them the first time. After that, it’ll be quicker. I also have several pair of rechargeable alkaline batteries for backup.
Below are a couple more pics I’ve taken. The second picture isn’t modified. The flower is really vibrant orange.
Haha.. I was going to respond earlier to your first post about the camera, and warn you about the batteries. Digital cameras just devour batteries like crazy. I started using rechargable Energizer’s, and they seem to last longer. Now, when I go on a photoshoot, I take along with me, at least 5 sets (4 in a set) of fully charged batteries. Also, if your camera has a LCD screen, you may want to turn that off. On my Nikon 990, the instruction book says the biggest draw on power is the LCD screen. I took it’s advice and turned the screen off, and I get much greater life from the batteries now. The down side is, I really liked using the LCD screen.
