More Information on System X

I found a whole lot more information on Virgina Tech’s System X at their site.  They have a section devoted to it’s development from concept to completion.  They call it their Terascale Cluster.  There’s all kinds of interesting information there.

I also read at MacCentral that VT is already moving the supercomputer from the PowerMac G5 towers to the Xserve G5 1U units.  That way they’ll save more space and use less power.

I wonder what they’re doing with all the old towers?
