I was perusing the iTunes Music Store the other night, and found a really good iMix with a ton of songs. I didn’t have time to go through the whole list, but I did end up buying several songs from the section I did see.
Many of the songs and bands I had never heard of before. Of the songs I bought, the best one is Angels (Original) by Wax Poetic. It features Norah Jones with her amazing, silky voice and some guy who can do insane things with his voice. He’s got to be using some kind of nose flute or something. Add in a catchy beat and you’ve got a really good song.
Another good one is Sigh by Praful. It’s a mix of jazz and laid back beats, which makes for good music to work to.
On a side note, there’s rumors that Apple will be releasing a special-edition U2 iPod soon. It will not be the standard white and will include U2’s new album as well as a collection of their greatest songs. If that’s true, I may break down and finally buy one. I’ve been wanting to get one not only for music, but for backup purposes too. With a 40GB hard drive, the iPod would have plenty of room for my music and important files. We’ll see how it pans out.
