It’s not that big of a surprise since it was leaked a couple weeks back, but Motorola has previewed their new iTunes-compatible phone.
At the giant CES show, Motorola’s executive vice president, Ron Garriques, showed it off and said it was the first of several Moto phones that will support iTunes this year. It has the familiar iPod interface for easy access, syncs with your computer and the iTunes Music Store.
He didn’t give any details as to when it will be released or how much it will cost. Still, this looks like it would be a good move for Motorola. I don’t see how it will benefit the iPod market though. It seems like it would eat away at the iPod marketshare, which can’t be good.
It seems that the presentation of the phone has been nixed since executives realized engineers from around the world would be watching and would share pictures of it on the Internet. Well, duh!! And these guys are the ones running Motorola?
