Well, let’s see… we’re not even halfway through the day, and here are the stories involving Muslim “peace and tolerance”:
• A UN worker was shot and killed during a skirmish between Israeli troops and Palestinian fighters. The Palestinians blame the Israelis who blame the Palestinians.
• The riots are continuing in Nigeria, and getting worse. They’ve now spread into the capitol where the pageant is being held. The death toll is estimated to be in the hundreds now.
• The mastermind behind the Bali bombings has confessed. He said the nightclub was targeted because it usually had a lot of foreigners in it, namely Americans. When the bombs went off though, mostly Australians were there.
• Saudi Arabia has arrested a man they claim is the one who shot the two American soldiers yesterday.
• Muslims are fighting Muslims in Lebanon now. A bomb went off in a Palestinian refugee camp. The bomb is thought to have come from Islamists who are against Arafat’s Fatah fighters.
• The Ayatollah Ali Khomenei has denounced the student protests in Iran. The protests are over the students’ outrage about a death penalty placed on a man who is accused of blasphemy. So the students want free speech, and Khomenei doesn’t.
That sure is a LOT of love and tolerance for one HALF day, huh? Let’s see what else happens in the latter half of the day.
Tom, Greg and Bill. I know all of you are from England and that you are working as a group here, since you pulled the same stunt yesterday. Why you try and overwhelm me with multiple posts that I cannot possibly respond to in time, I can’t figure out. Unless you intentionally don’t want me to be able to answer them. If that’s the case, then it’s wrong.
I will answer your last posts, and then the discussion is over.
If you think my beliefs have been formed by TV, then you haven’t read much of my posts. I hardly ever watch TV.
Yes, the Old Testament taught “an eye for an eye”, but it was taught as incorrect by Jesus in the New Testament. So it’s not used an excuse to kill anyone. Anyone can take an isolated verse out of any religious document and twist it to mean what he wants. That doesn’t mean the religion itself is messed up.
A religion is messed up if it teaches that killing others in order to further your political agenda is ok. And many times in my various posts I mention that it’s extremist Muslims teaching these extremist ways, and that moderate Muslims should and need to do something against it. So don’t try and make it look like I hate all Muslims. I don’t. But the constant bad press just about every day showing the different terrorist bombings are NOT a good thing for Islam. They need to do something to counteract this bad publicity.
There are interpretations of the Koran and not every word is held to be true, as in any religion.
