Yesterday, Macromedia announced both Dreamweaver MX and Fireworks MX. That was a surprise, but a good one. I use Fireworks for all my design work. I used Adobe GoLive for site organization, but depending on how Dreamweaver looks and feels I may switch.
From what I can see, Fireworks MX isn’t too much different than FW4. There are a few new features, but nothing Earth shattering. But it is nice to finally be able to work on my designs without having to start up classic. I’ll post more on Dreamweaver once I get it.
That reminds me, I HATE dial-up connections! It took me several hours to download Fireworks MX, and I’m going to have to download Dreamweaver MX overnight! I need DSL… or cable… or T3. Yeah, T3 would be sweeeeeet.
You should give Dreamweaver a go. I was on Golive until a month ago. The Dreamweaver extensions make a huge difference. The Fireworks/Dreamweaver intergration is fantatic also.
