The last few days we’ve had some nasty weather here in Austin. We started getting warnings of a winter storm on Saturday, but it didn’t really get nasty until today.
Yesterday was cold (around 30° F) with a mixture of sleet and rain, but it wasn’t cold enough to snow or ice over. This morning I woke up, and there was ice all over the place. The grass was so thick with it, it could hold up the weight of my dogs. They couldn’t walk on it without hurting their paws. Poor things. I had to rescue Tinker from it this morning after she ran out into it and got stuck.
Austin pretty much shuts down when there’s any kind of winter storm that brings snow or ice. My cousin hasn’t had to go to work for two days now. Many business were closed today. Hardly anyone was out on the streets. However, there were lots of people out walking. Probably trying to combat cabin fever.
Not much else is going on right now. Blizzard’s Burning Crusade has come out, and I hear its siren call, but it’s not as strong as I thought it would be. I don’t think I’ll end up buying it. My Xbox 360 is filling in my gaming needs quite nicely as well as another MMO that shall remain unnamed for the time being.
Despite having plenty of work to occupy me in the day and games to occupy me in my free time, I’m beginning to get cabin fever. Hopefully the weather will warm up soon before I start going nuts.
I love the blog that you have. I was wondering if you would link my blog to yours and in return I would do the same for your blog. If you want to, my site name is American Legends and the URL is:
www.americanlegends.blogspot.com
If you want to do this just go to my blog and in one of the comments just write your blog name and the URL and I will add it to my site.
Thanks,
David
