North Korea Continues To Lose It

The North Koreans have called off meetings with the US military over military drills between the US and South Korea.  They say the US is pushing the region to war and that they may take “new important measures” if the annual drills continued.  They also said they “reserved the right” to reprocess spent nuclear fuel however they saw fit.

I’m still trying to figure out why the North Koreans are SO gung-ho on provoking the US to war.  It makes no sense at all.  They’re insane over there.  They don’t want to talk with the US if Japan and South Korea are also present.  They only want to talk directly with the US.  Why?  What could they accomplish?  Nothing that I can think of, other than making themselves feel powerful because they got the most powerful nation on Earth to stop and talk “face-to-face” with them.
