November 2006 Favorite Music

Once again, I’m sharing a list of my current favorite music. I’ve recently discovered Pendulum and Imogen Heap’s great music. That’s why there’s a few from each of them in the list.

These aren’t in any particular order.

Band - Song

Missy, I think you’d like “What Your Soul Sings” by Massive Attack. It has a kind of dreamy, hypnotic feel. Very mellow.

And don’t listen to Pendulum while driving, especially “Tarantula”. Every time I hear it, it makes me want to drive fast. Very fast. It took every ounce of control I had the other night not to go blasting down the highway on my way home.

What Your Soul Sings rocks. Big thanks to the producers of House for introducing me to Massive Attack (Teardrop from Mezzanine). The First Twilight is not my favorite off of Deep Forests self titled album, but I’m glad to see that your music choices continue to be good ones. Now convinced by the inclusion of those two songs I shall promptly go and purchase Imogen Heap, whom I have never listened to.

I’ve been listening to Younger Brother (offshoot of O.T.T.) and Beck’s latest recently, incidentally.

Yeah, “What Your Soul Sings” is definitely a great song. I was working on a project listening to an Internet radio station in the background when it started playing. I couldn’t keep working when I first heard it. I turned up the volume and listened to the whole thing. Then promptly bought it.
