Well, it looks like my first New Years resolution won’t be happening over the Internet through personals. I’ve had a personal ad out on Yahoo! for a few months now. Whenever I find a girl whose interesting enough, and I work up enough guts to write her, it ALWAYS turns out to be a scam. They ALWAYS reply with some stupid comment like, “I moved my ad because everyone here is just playing games. If you want to talk with me go to http://www.hotgirls.com/personals/~julie” or something completely lame like that. I’ve worked up enough courage to write to 20 girls since I started, and they either don’t write back (does this reflect on me?) or it’s a scam. So far it’s been 50/50 no reply or scam. I HATE it. I’m going to cancel my ad.
Here’s my advice. If you want to try your hand at finding love online, good luck. Chances are, you’re going to get duped and pissed.
