OS X Software Updates Dangerous?

This article, which was written at ZDNet, says that a hacker has shown how he can use Mac OS X’s built-in Software Update feature to install a backdoor that would allow any hacker to have access to an OS X computer.  He has sent off his finding to Apple, and Apple says they are working on a fix.
