pMpost

I’m testing out pMachine’s Mac OS X app called pMpost.  It needs a lot of work, in my opinion. I like that I can assign categories (which NetNewsWire Pro couldn’t allow).  I also like that all the entry fields are included. One MAJOR negative is there is no buttonbar (which I use ALL the time).  There’s no way to quickly add custom tags, upload images, etc.

It’s a decent start, but really needs a lot more spit and polish.

[CORRECTION]: Elwin (creator of pMpost) pointed out that pMpost DOES support custom HTML tags.  So the “MAJOR” negative is now only a minor negative since I still can’t upload images.

Hi

I would just like to comment on the MAJOR negative part wink
pMpost does not do image upload yet, but it does have custom tags and pMcode tags. You can change them in your Preferences under the pMcode tab. To apply them to your text, make a selection and right click or control click the selected text.
pMpost 1.1 will be released very soon and it will supports user definable shortcuts for the custom tags and some other nice additions.

I saw the pMcode customization option under preferences but didn’t realize it was for HTML as well. Maybe if it were labeled a more generic “Code”?

Also, if there was a way for pMpost to synchronize not only your posts and categories, but also the server time. Whenever I post with it, pMpost is set to my time, while my server is two hours behind. So whenever I post, it doesn’t show up for another two hours. This would be more convenient than me manually setting my time back two hours every time I post.

Good point Chris,
Server Time offset is on my to-do list but won’t make it into the 1.1 release.
It will probably be in the next small update.
pMpost could just get the server offset from the pMachine preferences and i’ll make using it in pMpost optional.
btw i am working on image upload but it takes longer then i anticipated wink
Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for reading my suggestion, and for the the quick response. I look forward to trying out the next version of pMpost.
