Same Story, Different Perspective

cut on the bias has a very interesting post which CLEARLY shows the bias the NY Times has by comparing two articles on the same subject by the NYT and CNN.  Both CNN and The NY Times did interviews with the three Gitmo detainees that were released the other day, but they painted VERY different pictures.  CNN comes across as more balanced (amazingly) by quoting the detainees as saying they were treated well and not abused.  The NY Times on the other hand bangs the same old America-is-evil-and-can-do-no-right drum by saying they WERE abused, were chained (GASP! only during interrogation though) and couldn’t send letters(*FAINT*).  HELLO!  IT’S A PRISON FOR CONSPIRATORS!!!  A little later in the NYT article, a small sentence says that their stories couldn’t be verified though.  Good grief.  Why anyone reads the NY Times is beyond me.  I guess if you’re looking for anything anti-Republican or anti-American you can find it there by the truckload.
