Sorry for the lack of posts the last few days. My ISP had updated their version of Perl on the server without building in DB_File, so Movable Type couldn’t work. I asked them to include it and they promptly did. But then, my username and password wouldn’t work anymore. I asked for help in the Movable Type support forums, and Ben Trott said that my ISP had most likely used the newest version of DB_File, so my old db files wouldn’t work. All I needed was SSH access to my account, and then I could upgrade my files myself. So I asked my ISP (Diatone) for SSH access, and they gave it to me. Excellent customer service. They’re always quick in response and have always been courteous.
So anyway, now my db files are all upgraded and I’m up and running again.
