Steve Jobs is doing well after his surgery to remove a rare form of pancreatic cancer.
His cancer is called ‘islet cell neuroendocrine tumor’ and represents only 1 percent of all types of pancreatic cancer. It’s nowhere near as deadly as the more common adenocarcinoma pancreatic cancer, especially if caught in the early stages, which Jobs said his was.
Jobs will take the month of August off and return to work in September. Until then, Tim Cook will run the company.
