Technology and Life’s Dominion

Tech Central Station has an article on the rapid decline in the number of physicians who perform abortions.  It’s mostly gynecologists who perform abortions.  According to a study by the Alan Guttmacher Institute, only 1,819 gynecologists performed abortions in 2000.  That’s only 5% of all registered gynecologists in the US.  All of them are taught the procedure during training because it’s the same procedure used for incomplete miscarriage or to sample the lining of the uterus in cases of abnormal bleeding.  The article deals with the decisions made by the Supreme Court justices on the Roe v. Wade case and why technology has changed all of that.

I’m glad technology has reached a point where it confirms the dignity and sanctity of human life.
