Tengwar Challenge 10

It’s only taken me half a year, but I FINALLY got around to making the 10th Tengwar Challenge!  In fact, it’s been so long since I’ve used the Tengwar in this fashion, I had forgotten some of it!  I’m positive I messed up on several parts, so some feedback and corrections are most welcome.

It’s a little long, so if you want to try your hand at it, you’ll need to click on the More link below.  As usual, words I’m not sure about are in red.  It’s in an English full mode.

Dude – what’s up with you TOTALLY RIPPING OFF your design from the CSS Zen Garden? Can’t you come up with your own stuff – or are you THAT lame?

Dude – I’ve already commented several times that the Release One design was the base for my design and linked to it. Before I moved the site over to this design and in my Colophon section.

It’s not a rip off. The layout is the same and the colors are similar. Nothing else is. If that’s a rip off, then about 80% of all blogs are rip offs, since there are 5 million+ blogs laid out like each other. Centered, banner, 2 or 3 column layouts with similar colors! Gasp!

Time to loosen the pucker string a bit…

Interesting… sounds like lyrics to some alternative rock or something.

Anyway, I found the mode to be pretty much self-consistent, despite the fact that I’m not crazy about using ure for ‘w’ and vala for ‘u’ (I would do the reverse). I just wonder why you’ve spelled “reflection” like “reflestion”, or is silme nuquerna supposed to be special in this mode? The other three “red” words seem okay to me.

Hi Alem,

Thanks for leaving a comment.

You’re right about the alternative rock sound. These are the lyrics to an Evanescance (sp?) song.

In this mode, silme nuquerna is meant to be used as ‘c’, but I think I did misspell it. It should be spelt ‘reflektion’, I believe.
