I am so glad there are people in the world like Dr. Richard Paley. They are there to enlighten us to the evils of the world, one being that Mac computers are Satanic and support evolution and communism. I’ve heard a lot of different arguments as to why Macs are bad (all of which are stupid), but this one takes the cake. How anyone can possibly believe this boggles the mind. But apparently, people do.
The big difference between the Muslim extremists and these guys is that Dr. Paley isn’t sending his followers into Apple headquarters to blow themselves up. Although, this guy is so whacked, that might be his next step.
Also, in general, there is a rather large difference between Christian and Islamic extremists. Christian extremists are few and far between. There isn’t a culture that breeds Christian extremists, unlike their Islamic counterparts. Also, Christian extremists, on the most part, don’t resort to violence to achieve political goals.
Am I worried that there are Christian fanatics? Yes. But do I think they’re anywhere near as bad a threat as Muslim fanatics? No.
Yes, I feel safer having Christian extremists than Muslim extremists, but they can be SUCH a pain. There is absolutely no resoning with them! You can’t and it irks me so. They are “right” and you are “wrong” and they will hound the hell out of you until you are “saved.” I believe in God and I say my prayers, but that is never enough with these people. I know I won’t burn in hell for being a Mac user, but I could argue with these people until blue in the face and still be hell bound until I throw my iBook out the window.
Why do you feel safer having Christian extremists? Chris – If you even begin to take a look into Christian religion you will find that thousands have died due to major Christian terrorist attacks all over the world – take northern Ireland for example, where extreme catholic suicide bombings having been taking place regularly over the past 10 years.
When the majority of Muslims come from the Middle East where thousands of children have been starving to death every day over the past 10 years, due to American organisations such as the World Bank and the IMF, you can hardly expect Muslim’s to be friendly towards America.
However, I can guarantee that virtually 99.9% of Muslim’s are against extremists and all the want is peace. However, this does not seem to be an option for Bush who is hungry to boost the American oil industry.
Matt, I never said I felt safer with Christian extremists. You don’t need to lecture me on the atrocities committed in the past in the name of Christianity. I know these things already, and have commented on them in the past.
Also, you’re logic is flawed. The Muslims in the Middle East aren’t suffering because of American corporations. Try taking a look at their governments. Just about all of them are corrupt, and it’s a shame that so many countries pander to them. Sadly, it’s mainly because they hold the oil card.
And I know most Muslims are against terrorism. I mention this in many of my posts and comments. And again, your logic on the reasonings of Bush is absurd.
You know why there’s a corrupt government in Iraq and lots of other countries? They were installed by the CIA, and so long as they are willing to sell the States cheap oil Bush doesn’t care. Saddam dared to stand up to him (not that he’s a hero or anything – he was a human rights violator) and so got a war. Before you start congradulating Bush on bringing down a country that was an “enemy of the free world” (ugh) look at how many similar leaders there are in the third world. The difference is – they’ll give the Americans O.I.L.
oh, and more on topic – if this is real, the guy’s a nutter! But I’ve read one article carefully analysing the whole site which came to the conclusion that the site’s a hoax.
Even if it’s not, I don’t really see what he’s raging against – apparantly Apple’s computers aren’t really real (this machine is an excellent simulation though

Apparantly some crazy Christian isn’t the only one with delusions…
Here I thought Islamic extremists were the big problem. I think it is scarier having Christian extremists right in our own back yard.
