Things are looking up

Well… today is looking like it could be a good day. I just got a call from the newspaper’s manager asking me to come down and help him with their Web site. And he also asked me to contract with them for future work on the Web site. Nice! So that will be extra money that I desperately need.
I have to work at the bowling alley again tonight for 7 hours. Sometimes I really hate that job and other times I like it. Notice I didn’t say “love”. But, it’s also money in the pocket and the tips are actually quite nice. This last week, I made about $75 in tips! All tax-free. =]
Last night, in leagues, I bowled above average again. I had 2 200+ games and ended up with a 570 series. I know a lot of people who think bowling is a redneck sport. They obviously suck at it, so they feel they have to belittle it to feel better about themselves. I love it. I like the friendly competition and skill involved in it. You get to laugh and cut up with people from around the area, and at the end of the year, you could possibly win decent money. Plus, the sight and sound of a nice strike is always fun.
Anyway, I’m rambling.
