TiVo troubles

I seem to remember TiVo’s ad campaign about TV your way. As in if you had TiVo, TV would be what YOU wanted it to be. Well, it now seems like TiVo was just kidding. In England, on Wednesday night last week, a BBC show was broadcast on TiVo and a “command” message was sent to all TiVo units that made all of them record the show. And now, they can’t erase them for 1 week!! TV your way? I don’t think so! It seems that BBC worked out a deal with TiVo that the show was a “must see”.
Obviously lots of people were angry and let TiVo know it. But amazingly, TiVo said they’re going to do it again soon, even though they know people are pissed!! I would drop my TiVo subscription in a heartbeat over this.
